This guy who I have known for a while is displaying some weird behaviour. When he's with his mates he's very flirty, gives me loads of compliments and is very sweet with lots of eye contact. His voice is very soft as well. When we are alone though he seems a bit nervous, he won't look me in the eye and his voice is different. i start to think he likes me but when he changes i get unsure. Whats going on here?

Darlin' don't worry, He does like you. The fact that he is nervous when your alone is why I say this, Guys who genuinely affactuated are like that, the cocky ones just want a ****. Honest doll. Tell him you like him and I promise he will return the affection, If not email me personally and I'll apologise and rethink what men and guy's are. Me included. By the way, he is cocky in front of his mates coz you are hot, otherwise he'd be embarrassed to do it.

Coming from a guy, sounds to me like he does.
I get nervous around girls i like so hes probably the same.
Im alot more confident when my mates are about, i think its something to do with him feeling thinking he will be rejected if he asks you out.
He wont look you in the eyes because hes shy and thinks your too good for him,
and the change of voice is something that happens too when your around someone you like, you can tell because its more of a forced voice, he may stutter for words.
I do all of the above when i like somone.

When a guy likes you, sometimes it is easier for them to react in front of friends. When you are alone, that is a different story. It is more intimate. Show him you like him and maybe you need to go for the first move and show him how to relax in around you.

He shows off when his friends are around..
then when his guys are gone, he gets nervous because he doesnt have backup!!
the guy that I'm going out with now used to do the same thing..
then he asked me out!!

i think maybe he is just very shy and is nervous when there is no one else around. some people are just like that. when it is just the two of you maybe you need to be the one to break the ice and start the talking and the flirting and see how that goes. i hope this helps good luck and GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!

Maybe he is nervous when he is alone with u and when he is around with his friends he feels comfortable expressing himself. So, just wait and let him open himself when he is alone with u or simply ask him what is the matter?

it sure looks like he likes you...but do you like him???if so, just go along with it...but if not, the easy way to tell him that you dont like him without even telling him is ask one of his friends if he likes you and if they say yea then say that hes really nice but would rather be friends and the news will probably get to him and he will back off

he may be shy or unsure of himself. Ask him. Don't waste your time trying to figure him out. You;ll be sorry you wasted that time if it turns out he doesnt

If he likes you he will ask you out, if your one of those brave people that will speak their mind (like myself) go up to him and ask him if he likes you, and if he says yes then Yeah :D he does! woot go you! as long as you like him, BUT if he says no, say oh..thats alright..what have you been up to? .. and start changing the subject, always works for me :D
