Yamamoto Senko is hands down the best bass bait on the market. There are a lot of imitations out there(including the yum dinger mentioned above) but the original Yamamoto senko is step above all of them. They're salt content is very high giving it an action that makes it look alive especially when wacky rigged(hooked in the middle with a #2 bait hook and no weight). I guarantee if you buy a bag and try them out you will have great success. For more info or to buy some go to www.insideline.net They have a great forum where pro's are always happy to help out and you can order directly from the factory there.
P.S. Try the watermellon pepper, excellent collor! Good Luck and tight lines.

Try using a yum dinger. They cost about $4 for 12 of them and it is well worth it. Use a size 3 gamakatsu offset hook to rig it wacky or texas rigged. I have used this technique in 3 tournaments and placed 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd. Even though it is an imitation of the Yamamoto Senko, it is better and cheaper. The best colors to use are Black/ Blue flake, Black Blue Swirl, June Bug, Carolina Pumpkin / Chartreuse Tip, and Pearl Laminate.

Here are a couple websites to help you:

If i had to choose one lure it would be a rooster-tail. A rooster-tail is a small lure with a spinner on the front and a small buck-tail on the treble hook on the back of the lure. They can be fished around rocks, moss, stumps. They will catch anything that swims.
