I got a perm about 3 months ago. And I've hated it from day 1. My hair has always been on the thinner side, but now, it's extremely thin. It breaks off so easily and I now have little broken hairs all over my head, especially right on top that stick up in the air. Making me look like alf alfa. I try and wear it down as often as possible because I know pulling it back can damage it more, but when I leave it down, I look like a crazy jungle woman. Any suggestions? Please help!

Do a deep oil treatment at least once a week, mix pour olive oil into a container and warm it (make it hot) then cover your hair with it and leave it on for a good hour or two. Then wash it out with a gentle shampoo, baby gentle. Also buy some silicone drop they are called Frizz ease etc. After the olive oil and washes with warm water never use hot water on your hair, put in the Frizz Eaze and when you comb it start from the bottom to the top and do it gently, you'll have to do this for a few months because your hair was damaged by the perm. It's a pain but you'll find it will be worth it. Good luck. this happened to me once it was horrible, but the olive oil and silicone really made a difference.

Did you get this done in a salon? Go back and make them work on it for FREE! The only solution is that it must be cut as it grows until the perm is all gone. You can use any sort of vegetable oil...heat it in the microwave, put it on your) hair, put a plastic bag on your head(any oil you can eat and any bag will do). wait around for as long as you can stand it but at least 15 minutes then wash and use a conditioner(leave-in is best) NEVER- EVER brush it; a pick or W I D E toothed comb is all you can use. You can do this as often as you like BUT cutting it off is really the only solution..been there-done that...and I have a HUGE mass of hair...

Use Infusium 23 on your hair, it's a leave in conditioner that will help fix the damage.

You should talk to a hairdresser, they usually know what to do. I also recommend that you see the person over a period of months, they might be able to help your hair recover.

Get some hair "strengtheners" And talk to your stylist, they've probably got some tricks of the trade.
