It is God's word that says this- So it is Him who says this. We who believe in Him abide by what He says: But I dont want to go around calling an athiest a fool. I do use scripture in defense and have used the verse "The fool says in his heart, there is no god"
Pslams 14:1 and 53:1.But we should not go around calling people fools. That is why it is important to use scripture- they are God's words- And here are a few verses that God says:

1 Corinthians 2:14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Corinthians 3:19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness" ;

The Bible calls Atheists fools in Psalms 14:a million and fifty 3:a million. probable someplace else too. you're terrific that Christians in specific circumstances choose too without delay, myself lined, and are meaner approximately correcting human beings than is needed, that's probable what Matthew 5:22 is touching on. even although, I stand on the authority of God's word and say that Atheists are fools, because of the fact God suggested it first. A fool, in the biblical experience, isn't one with low mind. that's one that disobeys God. You sustain wrath for your self once you sin and that's silly.

Why is it so difficult for people to conceive that maybe Christians and Atheists have two subjective views of a reality so complex and deep that its beyond anybody's complete understanding, and that therefore it is best not too cling to one's own interperatation like a drowning rat, condemning all others as inferior? Sorry for the wordy sentence. But a lot of Christians and Atheists do the above. I believe in open mindedness and I respect Christians and Atheists who believe the same. Fundamentalism is the problem and you can find a streak of it in all belief systems.

Did I say they were delusional & foolish? Nope, not once. Do all Athiests generalize? Just because you provide a few intellegent people as examples (Jodie Foster removed) doesn't knock God off His throne and make Him cease to exist. I could provide a list of intellegent people who believe in God, does that change your opinion? Neither does it change mine. Peace :-)

So what makes those idiots you name smart?
Thomas Edison invented the light bulb without even understanding electricity...isn't this foolish?
And I hope Bill Gates is smart enough to invest in medication that will make him live long enough to spend his billions; if he doesn't, he's a compound fool.
And who really is Jodie Foster...a woman who makes millions but can't find a cure for her sagging face?

LOL Jodie Foster!

Sorry, I do not think it is fair to label anyone a fool. Christians shouldn't as Jesus would frown on it and one would think that a true atheist could care less what a Christian thought of him.

Atheists aren't fools. And neither are Christians. They believe what they believe, and no one has the right to judge the other because no one knows the truth.

I don't believe Atheist are fools, I'm a "christian" myself and I think that they are educated people that don't feel the need to believe in a higher power or God.

Christians spend more time preparing to live as Christians and preparing to meet God, we have no time to spend inventing things. We have come to the conclusion that everything comes from GOD. It is GOD's choice on who he uses to make things better for everyone.
