ouchie!! you have strained your lower back muscles. you probably bent slightly backward under the weight of the ladder, without realizing it. the pain could last a week or so...if it lasts longer, go to the doctor. it isn't a sign that you won't continue to grow, your muscles just need to heal. soak in a hot bath with epsom salts, use a heating pad, use ice, whichever helps with the pain. i hope you feel better soon kiddo.

no, that wont keep you from growing. That is all in what your pituitary gland does, it releases the hormones that cause growth.
What it sounds like to me is you have strained your back pretty severely.. Lets hope there is no hernia's though they are "normally" on the front side at the groin area.
When you lift something, you should always use yours legs when possible. I used to body build, and started at about your age. They said it was dangerous, but to this day I look nice and fit, though I don't lift anymore. all the extra bulk is gone.
If the pain persists, then I would suggest getting your parents to take you to the doctor, but in the future, don't be afraid to ask for help if possible, because though I could lift nearly 400 pounds at one time, there is still leverage on certain items, especially lengthy items such as ladders and sofa's. I asked for help with those things when I was built, and I could life them and the person helping me most of the time..lol its not in how strong you are, because leverage is leverage no matter what you do.
hope this helped a bit.

Being that you are only 13 years old you might've pulled something .. most likely it will heal on its own but you still need to let your parents know incase something happens and it is more then just a sprain .. believe me this has happened to me before .. and what a cooincedence i was 13 years old at the time! Be careful next time .. ask an adult for help .. take care.

I doubt it dude, You've probably just strained a muscle. I've3 done it plenty of times, just don't worry about it and it'll go away. If it starts to hurt so much tell your parents and go to the doctors. But I'm sure it'll be fine, the less you worry the quicker it will heal.

A sprain will not effect your growth! See a doctor if the pain persists.
