The best way to travel between Sao Paulo and Rio is by Plane .
The flight takes only one hour.
The cost is about $100, if you book in advance .
Best airlines :Tamm or Gol.

To buy jewlery , I would recommend H .Sterns
They are the biggest and have the largest collection.
They can pick up potential clients from the hotel.

In Sao Paulo is more expensive than Rio, because it's the commecial center of Brazil . I would stay in the Unique hotel.
In Rio it's much more relaxed .
Both cities it's not recommended to wear jewelery in the street.

Brazil is a great country, take some minor precautions and enjoy yourself.

I just noticed , that you are going in May, please bring a light rain coat, because can become cool in the evenings.Or just take taxis

:you may desire to look at a map, the two those places are a protracted way remote from the place you would be. you're able to do it, yet you could need some thousand money extra, esp for the Galapagos. FYI, saying you will Brazil, is like saying you will the rustic. Brazil is relating to the size of the rustic
