One Christian told me that Christians are more susceptible to temptation by Satan.
I'm NOT kidding. That person was implying that Christians are unfairly victimized by the Dark Lord.
So you see... it's not REALLY their fault that they divorce so often (and so much more than atheists)... it's because they're singled out by the Ruler of Hell.
MY theory is that atheists are free from unnecessary tension, guilt, shame, Biblically based bigotry and self righteousness, etc.

Any statistician would point out to you how desperately flawed such a huge and massive generalization is, statistically. You've chosen such wide and disparate lumpings of people that any comparison is nearly meaningless.
There are many types of Christians - many, many, in a lot of very different parts of the world. Which kind and demographic are you comparing atheists against? For I suspect you would in fact get many different results.
You would probably see a much lower divorce rate, for instance, among Maronites and Melkites from the middle east, then you would amongst American atheists.
Culture is probably a much stronger indication of whether someone is statistically likely to divorce than any sort of religious test.

Define Christian and provide the evidence. It's been researched and studied for over 5 decades that Christian have more stable, happy marriages. Talk about generelizations...
IF it is/were true the reason would be that more Christians marry than atheists.

It's simple. Atheists have no god to worry about. They don't unite through Jesus or anything, they unity purely through their loyalty to each other. There are no outside forces that dictate their love for each other and their devotion to their union.
Religion just complicates a marriage. It adds many more reasons for a couple to separate because of their differences. You might say that religion would keep couples together more strongly because of commitment to whatever they believe in. But if you look at people realistically, you will notice that few people are actually devoted to the religions they say they are.
If the statistic is true, I believe my theory can be one of the reasons why it is so.

Because they tend to use Logic and Reason rather than "faith".
Faith is a firm belief in something for which there is no real proof. That in and of itself is illogical.
The other thing is that a pair of athiests don't have to worry about religious issues like, say, a Catholic and a Protestant would.

They shack up instead of getting married. LOL
OK, OK I'm sorry, I didn't mean it.
That's just what came to mind. I didn't watch the video.
The divorce rate is quite high among Christians, that part is true.
I've been married only once, for 20.5 years so far.

'Christians' in the USA presently have a test that many 'Christians' (in the USA) do not pass. Therefore, they may not be up to the 'common sense' level of agnostics and atheists. much less surpassing the agnostics and atheists.

Sure, I can tell you the reason - they don't get married as much.
If you look at the number of atheists that live together compared to the number of them that marry, you will see why the rate is comparatively smaller.

I banged my potential wives and made sure I found a good one. I didn't get married until I MEANT it. Living in sin did not scare me into hurrying into marriage.
Shirley just backed up Zer0's claim!
