That they have the answer to everything? Why do they think that "Jesus" will answer every prayer and do whatever they ask of him. See you people [some of you] prove my point. Asking if I'm having a bad hair day??? How stupid and high and mighty is that??? What are you having a bad mental compacity day???

I just asked the question because I was curious. Those of you who chose to insult me should live in glass houses so I can throw stones. Don't think I don't know the bible, I know enough to understand it. People have blind faith, I wonder why? That's all. But some of you people have to be insulting becuase you can't think of an intelligent and respoinible answer. No wonder people question Christianity.

I believe in Jesus. Am I right, I cant say for sure, but I still believe it. I will be the first to admit that I do not know it all. (Shocker) and I am a weak human. I look for strength through God. He does answer prayer, only because I am not asking for a million bucks when I pray. He answers the prayers of the heart.

That they have the answer to everything? - A true christian doesn't.

Why do they think that "Jesus" will answer every prayer and do whatever they ask of him. - A true christian would never say something so foolish.

Why are Christains so judgemental when the bible says "Thou Shall Not Judge"? - Like everything else "growing" in life, a growing christian, still immature in The Way, judges, instead of loving people into the kingdom.

Why do they think I'm wrong if I have different beliefs? - You CAN have different beliefs on the subject and still be right?! WHAT?? This is one of the most difficult things for a new christian to handle. The christian life is FULL of true paradoxes. Example:
- In order for you to die, you must live = Just like a seed in nature, a person must die to old immature ways in order to grow and bear fruit later as a productive adult.

Why do you have to be right and why do you rely on a book that's thousands of years old and has been changed by the church in order so it will serve the churches' every whim? - I challenge you to do an honest THOROUGH search of the scriptures through prayer, even if you don't believe. Don't be suprised, as Napolean, Einstein and other great people were, that you are forever changed. *After having been in darkness, when you come into the light, you can never again be blind to the truth.

A true christian is simple: they become broken bread and poured out wine for all men, and do so with a thankful loving heart blessed that they are in right standing with God and mankind.

The Bible says "Judge not lest ye be judged" which means that God will judge me by at least the same standard I pass judgement on someone else.

Jesus also said "My kingship is not of this world; if it were of this world, my servants would fight." (John 18:36)
Mohammed said "I have been ordered by Allah to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah."

Jesus said "Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish." (Luke 6:35)
Mohammed said "Let not the believers take for friends or helpers unbelievers rather than believers. If any do that, in nothing will there be help from God; except by way of precaution, that you may guard yourselves from them." (Qur'an 3:28)

Jesus said "If anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town." (Matthew 10:14)
Mohammed said "Those who follow me are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another." (Qur'an 48:29)

As you can see, sometimes different beliefs are incompatible. Sometimes, you cannot think that you are right and that someone else is right if they believe the opposite. Why should anyone take a position on anything without standing behind their beliefs? I personally do not believe the Bible is the perfect book and that everything within its pages is true. However, I believe in the overall message, and lucky for me, members of my church will not kill me because of my dissent.

In other religions, they actually do pass judgment, perhaps if you lived in an Islamic caliphate, you would already be dead.

I apologize for some of the people hear who did not try to answer your questions. I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.

We only have what God has revealed to us through the Bible. But an attitude of knowing it all, is not what we are told to have. We are told to be humble and loving, but also stand strong and follow what God has directed us concerning the nature of what He (if we believe He is God, then He makes the rules) considers good or bad.

Jesus stated in John 14:13-14. That anything we ask in His name He will do.

However you have to understand that in His name, also means for His purpose. This I believe is the catch that most people do not see. God is not going to answer a prayer that will not as John 14:14 states "the Father may be glorified in the Son". A greedy prayer will fall on deaf ears. However one that is within the leading and will of God will be fulfilled.

We should not judge. However, if we find someone we love doing something that we believe will cause them to go to Hell, we should lovingly tell them their error. If we truly believe the Bible then we would be cruel to not let people know that their actions will lead to destruction. Like not warning someone that their about to walk off the sidewalk in front of a bus.

Why do we think people of differing beliefs are wrong? Because Jesus (whom we believe) told us this... John 14:6. I am the way, the truth, and the life... No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I am not worried about being right. I have lived a good life, and if God does not exist, then I have lost nothing. However, I believe He is, I believe that the Old Testament prophecies about Jesus written hundreds of years before His birth are evidence enough... Read Isaiah 53 if you would like an example. If you have more questions about this chapter I can help. Isaiah 53 has been around for a long time, and the originals are available for proving that they are reliably translated today. I believed just as everyone else not to long ago. However I became curious. I read the Bible with an open mind and was suprised that most Christians dont fit the bill, but thats the point no one can or ever has, except Jesus. The OT says that remission of sin, in order to have a relationship with the righteous God, is only through blood sacrifice, because He had said that if we sin we die. Because it is rebellion against Him who created us, and as the Creator, He also reigns, and does His will. The Bible said we were created for His purpose. However that purpose I believe is to share love with people who choose to love Him for what Hegives us, not out of fear, and choose to do good, because it is good, and not because of fear. God provided the sacrifice through Christ sufficient enough to fulfill the punishment.

I think 12 original men, who believed so strongly that 10 went to their deaths rather than denounce Jesus, who swelled to 2 billion, give or take, in the course of just 2000 years is more evidence for Christ than against. Hundreds of thousands of so called saviors and their messages have come and gone, none have lasted quite so long and so overwhelmingly powerful as Jesus.

Churches whims are bad... follow your Bible.

Let me try to answer this. I believe the answer to everything is in the book. I believe Jesus will answer every prayer. I don't believe Jesus will do whatever I ask of Him. As for being judgemental, you are generalising as I personally am not judgemental. I don't think you're wrong for different beliefs. I don't have to be right I have to be content inside myself. Last question about "the book", I've researched it and found evidence of historical, scientific, geographical and archaeological proof. I've listed one source below. Peace :-)

I would hope that any Christian would not proclaim to know all the answers and that they would try and look it up in God's word-The Bible. And I would hope that the Church that you are talking about in changing God's word, you would not attend. Please find a church that teaches truth and please read the Bible for yourself and let it answer your questions...especially about prayer and how much Jesus loves you.

well- the only reason christianity ever spread is because it accepted everybody and brought people together. i think that they believe they are right because they have the most followers of their religion. and i know exactly what you're talking about- if you try to argue about their beliefs at all theyll give you a bunch of crap or in my experience give you the finger.

You really are mis-lead.

How sad for you.

You are in the R & S section. What exactly did you expect?

There are many, many people on this site that answer questions not posted for them specifically. It's not just Christians.

Bad hair day?
