My friend was trying to get me to meet this guy at a hockey game but he never showed. my friend wants to get us to meet again. Should I even bother?

Nope. He had his chance and he missed it. Just drop it, you are better then that, and deserve to be with someone who values your time. Clearly he is not interested and your friend and you should just drop it and let it go.

Don't forget there are plenty of fish in the sea. So forget this guy and go out there and get fishing for someone better!

Don't go out of your way again to meet this guy. If he wasn't going to show up, he should have let your friend know. You should give him a second chance but, let him come meet you at a place and time where you'll normally be. This way if he doesn't show up, you haven't gone to any extra trouble. If the guy's a no-show this time, then forget about him.

Nope...I went out with a hot guy that told me it was the best date he had ever been on. He called me all the time and we were going to go out again but the night we were supposed to go out he stood me up. It usually means he's out with someone else leave it alone.

I would say yes, then not show up--unless of course he had a very good reason for not showing up the first time
