Yes, it is very healthy. It is also very filling which will help you lose weight. It's all the butter and sour cream, etc. that is unhealthy.

Like most of the others who've answered so far I agree that a plain baked potato is healthy. High in carbs but healthy. and boring. It's all the good stuff we put on it like butter, sour cream, salt and bacon bits that make it unhealthy and high calorie. And if you want to stay in the healthy area when you add a meat to round the meal out with protein you'll have to make it a lean meat like baked chicken, no tasty fats.

Yes it is, lots of vitamins and carbs aren't always a bad thing. Plus when it's baked you aren't adding grease to it, it just despends on what you put on it.

yes. i heard the skins are healthy as well. It's a lot of carbs but still pretty healthy

yes, very. low in cals, but it's pure carbs so u will have to supplement that w/a protein in order to satisfy ur appetite.

it is still a starch which will turn into sugar then fat quickly. so if you eat a small one in moderation. should be ok.
