Phillipians 4:6-7
"Don't worry about anything. Instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and THANK him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peaace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ".
I used to worry a lot, now I leave it upto God and try not to take back control. Life got much better with him in control rather than me.

2 Timothy 1:7 for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. It a very calming verse in adverse circumstances. It reminds me that I can allow my thoughts, attitudes and actions to be influenced by Him or the adversary. It's my choice. It is also a good for testing my thoughts. Usually self centered stuff is based in fear. And this verse tells me that is not of God. Anyway, thats my two cents. I mean points. ;) Oh yeah, also Jeremiah 29:11 is great.

Phillipians 4:4-9...it's more of a passage than a verse....I guess I like the 8th verse as for how it helps me live my life if I have to pick just one. Show's the wisdom of God.

I love Psalms 118:17 & Nehemiah 8:10 & Psalms 121 & Luke 6
There are just too many to list...I just try to live my life the way God wants me too and when I mess up, he gives me strength and encouragement!

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
when I was told I have COPD, bad lungs from smoking, I relize that my hope is to see Jesus Christ, my saviour. That my saviour is God. Written by Paul, who was shipwreck, beaten, rejected, jailed and in his blessed hope more pain that I ever could suffer, why not look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
My verse before the doctor visit, was Romans 6:23, I have the gift of God, and I will die, but I have the blessed hope and fear death no more, wether it be now or twenty one hundrend years.
Looking to Jesus

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." - James 1:27
This verse is straightforward, it sums things up for me... we need to help those less fortunate than ourselves and keep ourselves from being pulluted, corrupted by the world.
Of course, as many people have pointed out, John 3:16 is a cornerstone scripture as well...
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths

With what shall I come before the Eternal and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Eternal be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Eternal require of you? Only to do Justice, and to love Mercy and to walk humbly with your God. [Micah 6:6-8]

Whenever I go to WWA events. I always remember:
Deuteronomy 25:11-12.
"When two men are fighting and the wife of one intervenes to save her husband from the blows of his opponent, if she stretches out her hand and seizes the latter by his private parts, you shall chop off her hand without pity."
Words to live by, I say.
