it's the first time going with you. isn't that meaningful enough. plus, it should make things easier since he's been there before. less stressful. if you can't get over it, then go somewhere else. and visit greece some other time. done deal.

Go to Greece. Just because he was there before doesn't mean that he's seen everything there is to see. Choose an itinerary that visits different places than he saw before.
My husband and I are going to Greece next Spring, I've been before and he hasn't. No biggee, we're doing another portion and I get to experience it all over again with him.
By the by, his trip with his family is as meaningful as a honeymoon with you, just in a different way.

It doesn't have to be a place where you've never been. As long as you both want to go there then you both will have fun. If he doesn't want to go there again for your honeymoon then compromise and go someplace where you both want to go but neither of you have been. You can always go to Greece on another vacation. But for your honeymoon go someplace new so you both can have memories of the first time you went there you were with each other.

It will still be meaningful. Because he has already been he is able to know special places to go. You will have more time of going to meaningful places and less time looking at a map trying to figure out where to go next.

If you both want to go there, why not? I'm sure you will have lots of meaningful moments there! A cruise doesn't necessary go to every spot in the country either, yo ucan plan on going to a spot he didn't visit in Greece (there are LOTS of things to see in Greece, I'm sure it will be easy to do that!)

It advisable to make it an adventure for two, rather than him telliing you how much wa sit or where to go when he was ther back in the day. Preferrably, find a place that you both haven;t been, that way the attention is in the two of you and not on the past memories.
Good luck

you should go to a place you both have never been to...that way the memories you will have for that place will be only of eachother...and it's new and exciting to him also...
how about Monaco. thailand, south of france...spain???
those may be comprible to greece..
you may want to go to greece for your anniversary!
Good Luck and happy honeymooning!

a honeymoon can be in your own backyard...its not about where you go, or if youve already been there....its about being there and seeing it for the first time as a married couple. its no longer looking at things through your own eyes, but seeing everything through your spouses eyes. you are no longer one person, you are now a unit.
