I'm not ready to have kids any time soon or anything, but I was thinking about this after I read an email my friend sent me.

I really like the name Chiara and plan to name my first daughter that. But all the other names I like and plan to name my kids are Biblical names such as Joshua and Gabriel for boys and Bethany and Jordan for girls.

Do you think it'd be weird one daughter not to have a Biblical name when all her siblings do? I just had it on my mind and was wondering what other people thought. I still have a long time to go...

Just no stupid answers please....

No it's not stupid at all. I mean you are the parent, it's your child, and you can name your child anything you want, you came your child after a fruit if you want, and if no one likes it oh well,. when I have kids for a girl Nevaeh (which is Heaven spelled backwards) and For a boy Zion. Don't let anyone tell you anything other wise.

Are you planning Biblical names for your other children on purpose, or simply because you like the names? To tell the truth, unless you make an issue of it to your children, that they all have Biblical names except for one, I doubt many if any others will notice.

Well first of all, you may only have one child. Secondly, it won't be a big deal to them unless you make it out to be one.
It would be hard to have a name that is not historically already a Biblical name or some derivative.

Didn't all of our names come from the Bible? Some have just been changed to sound modern. I really don't think it matters where you get your children's names from. As long as you love them and take care of them, then nothing else matters.

Name her Genesis. You can call her Jenny. And yes, I knew someone who has done that before; I thought it was an awesome way to name someone Biblically.

When you have kids, you have my permission to name them anything you please, just keep in mind, they will pick out your nursing home.
