Being that I am a former oncology nurse myself...the best way about getting funding is through the social worker and patient advocate at the hospital your child is being treated at. You will be amazed at the funding out there for your family.
Also ask your treating doctor or his office manager. Many times they can help offset the cost of medicines.
It is very common for most people to ask for assistance when they have a terminal illness in the family. The funds are there so ask. The last thing you need is to worry about that stuff. Take care of yourself so you can be strong for your child. Also if you have credit debit call the agency tell them the sitiuation and they will work with you. You may have to prove your child is ill but it is better than having bad credit and creditors harassing you.
One other place is research the good samaritan society. They have funding too. You and your child are in my prayers.

A tenth of your income is nothing and I cannot believe you are actually serious to post a question as to why pay for a child never mind a disabled, terminally ill one. I don't think anyone is being unfair to you and very true you should have used precautions to prevent being a father or do all the women in the world a favour and do without sex.

I'm so sorry. The only help that I can offer is to include you in my prayers. Maybe your local clergy or the hospital will have some info for you.
God Bless your family.

Wow.....that's alot to deal with...I sure hope you have some family around.
There ARE programs....call your local dept of social services....they should be able to help...if not they will have numbers of places that can.
Especially since you are unable to work...you should qualify for all sorts of programs.
Best wishes to you and your son!

i'm so sorry to hear about your troubles, my heart goes out to you and your family. have you tried contacting ronald mcdonald house charities? they do a lot to help families of children with illnesses. i'm not sure if they are able to give financial support, but they should be able to help you find someone that could. they were very helpful to me when my first born daughter was in NICU, and after she passed away, they made a considerable donation to help cover her funeral costs. i hope this helps you.
