The basics (and most important) are still there: First day is first new moon sighting, fast from sunrise to sunset, break fast with dates....

While some people still use the old way of sighting new moon, many have started depending on technology to do this. In the US we can not kill our meat it is against the law, and it seems more people are sleeping during the day so they may fast while sleeping.

Every year the dates change because Muslims go by the lunar calendar which is shorter than the regular calendar. This has not changed since the times of the Prophet.

It is up to ALLAH to accept fasts so we should all strive to make our fasts as accurate and pure as we can.

It has slightly. We can predict the moon phases accurately now, so there is no guesswork like their was before. People used to have to go and look for the moon themselves.

And it starts on a different day every year, if thats what you meant.

Ya I think.Rahadan changes from month to month like for the months of October,November, and even December. At the end of the month another holiday called Eid is celebrated if we see the moon.If we see the moon then the next day is Eid.If we don't then another day can be Eid.

yes, every gregorian year indeed. islamic calender got 13 or 14 days different from the gregorian calender (the normal calender we use).

mathematically, islamic calender will be pulled earlier from the gregorian calender ever single year. some says it's a 25 year cicle, but i never count.
