Why don't you give her the pink scooter an dseveral otehr Max and Ruby things like videos and a sleeping bag and on Christmas morning tell her that Santa called you and said that he didn't have the right stuff to make the Max and Ruby scooter, but he had all of these other wonderful Max and Ruby toys and a pink scooter and he was very sorry that he couldn't do exactly what she wanted and he hopes she still likes him. Or better yet give her a letter addressed to her from Santa explaining it. Or take her to see Santa at the mall and have your wife explain to Santa teh situation righ tbefore she asks and he can tell her himself that he'll do his best but he doesn't have a Max and ruby scooter. Paper printed from teh computer won't work.

I would buy the pink scooter and put stickers on it. Here's a link to a sticker book for Max and Ruby:
http://www.amazon.com/Rubys-Busy-Week-Sticker-Stories/dp/0448428539
I'd also consider doing research to learn how to decoupage which may hold up longer than stickers. Then you can paste the stickers that you print out from the computer. I'm not very crafty so I have no advice on how to decoupage -- it's kind of like a shellac that you put over pictures to seal them to furniture and walls. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work on a scooter.
You may have to tell her that the scooter is an inside toy or just for decoration. You may want to get her another scooter to ride outside and keep the pink one in her room for decoration. Decorate her walls with Max and Ruby photos and you could get a whole theme going.
What a good mother to try to get her exactly what she wants! Enjoy your Christmas.

I would look for stickers of them as my first choice. They will last longer then a picture and look more authentic. My second choice is crazy glue so it doesnt come off
OR
Podge will make a waterproof seal and dry clear
I would confirm with the people responsible for Max and Ruby that there is no such thing or she will be like nope thats not it and you have a scooter that you cant return

i would put max and ruby stickers on the scooter as well. my son wanted one toy for birthdays and christmas for two years but they never made it. i just told him that santa cannot bring you everything and you can only give him ideas! on christmas morning we had santa leave a note saying he was sorry he couldn't find the toy but he would keep looking all year for next year. he was excited for the note (he was 3 too) AND he was too excited for the other presents he had to open and play with.
she'll be fine without any scooter. she definitely wont be disappointed.
merry christmas!

Bring the pictures and the scooter to a auto detailing shop. They can normally make you a decal that you can place on the scooter. They can also actually detail the scooter just like they would a car.

Maybe you could print some off the computer and then decoupage them onto the scooter. I wouldn't put them on the part where her feet go though because they would rub off easy. Spray the area where you're putting the picture with glue and stick the picture on. Paint glue on the top and let it dry and it should be on there pretty good.

Well, you said you have pictures of them from the computer. You can use decopage glue which you can get from any craft section. It's pretty easy.
In case you have no idea what this is....it's a non-toxic glue that you put on the front and back of photos, leaves, and pretty much anything else you want to preserve forever. Once it dries, it's hard and clear, waterproof and very durable.

ok properly you'll get sticky label paper and placed the stickers on it. or you could attempt to purchase revealed stickers on-line and use them. If the scooter is a Matte base you could do what my pal did to a fabric cupboard. Take the photos, heavily outline the picturse in pencil, placed the image with the pencil lining dealing with the scooter then scribble truly problematical on the different aspect of the paper. the outline might want to then go away markings on the matte end. Then get paint markers and colour it your self. yet perfect element all mutually will be to take it to an section that does airbrushing.

Hire an artist who knows what Max and Ruby are and get her to paint it for like $40 or maybe $60.
Probably she has paint and you would have spent more on the paint anyway.

Take some pictures to your local sign making shop and tell them what you are doing. They should be able to make up some decals for you. We did this when our son wanted a Spiderman, Batman and Captain Jack bike...guess what these guys do not appear together.
Kids gotta love em!
