sounds like you might indeed have an allergy. and yes, some breeds of cats have more dander in their fur than others. i'm deathly allergic to most cats, and take on otc allergy med called chlorphaniramine...it's super cheap, and doesn't make you drowsy. i took it daily during the years i was a vet tech. it might help you. also, keep the fur down by vacuuming a lot. hope this was helpful.

It is probably the long hairs flying around as I do this with my long haired cat and not my short haired as well. Try brushing her to help control shedding. Also if turns out that you are allergic then you could ask pharm if over the counter meds work different for animal dander allergies because on tv they say that zyrtec works on animal dander better.

It's most likely from her longer fur...some cats produce more dander than others which can cause allergies...you can buy a special shampoo that reduces the amount of dander in the fur..I think they sell it at petsmart...if not, ask your vet...he or she will know where to find it.

not necessarily allergic, its just allergies are kickin in this time of year it could be her fur or the things her fur carries like cat dander or pollen, but id suggest going to an allergy clinic just to be on the safe side! ^_^

It's possible to be allergic to long-haired cats, but not short-haired ones.

Most Likely. I am allergic to many things, even grass! I just have to live with it.

Probably, although does it happen more around dogs with more fur, or even cats? If so the fur probably just irritates your eyes and nose.
