It mostly depends on how hard you suck it. The harder you suck it and the more you use your tongue the faster you'll get to the chewy insides!!
As for my personal technique, I prefer less sucking and more biting! Hope this helps.

Just saw a show on this last nite on GOOD EATS. Some university students set up an artificial tongue to test the answer to that same question. They came up with 317 licks.
