I asked my boyfriend if he would pop out and get me some vaseline, as my lips were cracked and sore. Off he went, the shop is only 5 minutes away, an hour later i ring him, he's popped into the club that he's a member of, I hit the roof. I told him to get home straight away, he returned 3 hours later with no vaseline claiming that he had dropped it down a man hole, my lips are still sore as he hasnt come up with something to moisturise them, should i just get rid?

Ummm...and you're still dating him? I personally wouldn't be upset about the lack of vaseline so much as him going to a club and making up a crazy lie. He dropped it down a man hole...well, he could have bought some more I suppose...if that actually happened. Honestly the details are so bizarre I question if they're true. Weird.

While not bringing home the vaseline may be a small thing to break up over, he did do wrong by going to a club instead of doing what he said he'd do. I would give him a sort of probation period (because everyone makes mistakes), and if he does it again, kick him to the curb.

He doesn't disserve you. He is a liar and as hard as it may be, you need to breakup with him. He has no place being in a relationship if he cannot even play by the rules that exist for a very good reason, he broke the aggreement. is he useful for anything else? if so keep him around til you find a suitable replacement. don't forget vaseline is slippy, easy to drop down manholes. next time you send him for something ring him every two minutes to make sure he's on track x

and i bet he was in the club with his mates laughing about what he was doing, very childish really lol but it takes all sorts

Most men I know have behaved like this at one time or another. He probably met one of his mates, got invited for 1 drink which led to two - you know how it is!
Its not that serious, just be cross at him and leave it at that!!
Don't make a big drama out of it!!

Well....ummm...I think I would get a little pissed that he went to the club without me knowing, especially when I asked him to go get me something. But, I'm sure I wouldn't break-up with him.
