Flavor is right! And to the naysayer's, this car was just named one of Consumer Reports recommended vehicles based on reliability for the 2006 model. They also considered other factors such as safety, value, and estimated cost of ownership (maintenance, repairs, insurance, and expected depreciation). They had some very good things to say about it, including way less repairs per vehicle for a new model than normally seen on a new model (domestic or import).
As a matter of fact Ford Motor Co vehicles were rated very well with 21 recommended vehicles (I only count 18, but some took mulitple categoreis), second only to Toyota/Lexus (23). They said the Fusion scored slightly better than the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, not bad for a first year!

get the altima even though i hate the cvt transmission but it will last longer than the fusion. i have an 05 2.5 sl
