It's the same in my house- 4 kids- the oldest is 9. I'm glad my son still has some of his innocence.. Some 9 yr olds are hardened by life by now. He'll find out soon enough I just hope it doesn't crush him or the kids at school are not mean to him. Merry Christmas.

Just tell him: Son, there is no santa clause and tooth fairy, they don't excist. How can you believe in that c**p.
You Americans, and others don' t know what is Christmas's. It's the day Christ was born and you teach children that c**p. It's not santa but it is saint Jone i think.

Your older child probably does not really believe anymore, but likes the gifts from Santa & the $$ the tooth fairy leaves.....just let him believe and your little one too until they want to not believe anymore....I agree with the consensus here - they will grow up soon enough

That's funny, I have an 11 year old who claimed he was to big to dress up for Halloween. However, he just lost two teeth and expected money under the pillow. Also, he already sent a letter to Santa. I'm confused too. It p!sses my husband off like nothing else.

For all of those who criticize her and her son.......remember, some of you still believe in Jesus.

I think that your 11 year old son came to the conclusion, that it is profitable to pretend that he believes in tooth fairy and Santa. Probably, he know much more about life, then you suspect. Maybe it is good time to talk to him to learn what he know.

This is kind of sad. The tooth fairy and Santa clause thing needed to end when he was around 6.

You should break it to him before he finds out from his friends and is made fun of.

You can just let the 6 year old keep believing.

not to be forward but it's your fault that you put that false hope into his mind. Honestly, parents are too teach their children not to lie and yet there are the parents forcing the kid to believe in something not real. I would wait it out. Then when he figures it don't be surprised when he is mad at you.
