Neuroendocrine cancer affects the brain, nerves and glands in the body. You don't say what stage the cancer is in or whether it was caught early. You also don't say whether your mom is being treated for this. I hate to give you bad news but people can die of pretty much any cancer that isn't treated. Sometimes they die in spite of all the medical treatments they get. I really hope your mom's cancer was found in time to treat it fully so she can make a good recovery. I will put her in my prayers. I too am a cancer survivor and have just finished radiation treatments for breast cancer.Oh and if you are confused ask your mom's doctors if they can explain the disease to you in terms anyone would be able to understand. Sometimes doctors forget they are talking to just ordinary people who don't know all the medical jargon they use. Thats what I did with my doctors and they were really nice about explaining stuff to me and my partner so we understood what was really going on with me. Don't be afraid to ask, she's your mom and you should know what is happening and how the disease is treated. You and your mom are in my prayers.

Cancer to the pancreas is very bad. Best to contact her doctor and find out what to expect in the coming months and treatment options.
