A lot of people think that dandruff is just a "dry"thing but as a person with oily hair, I get dandruff all the time. The worst thing for me is that when i start a dandruff shampoo, it works for a while, and then i have to change again. I wouldnt recommend tar based shampoos because i hear that they make your hair fall out. I think selsun blue is probably one of the best brands for dandruff out there. Every so often, i buy a regular clarifying shampoo (they are usually clear, suave makes one) to clear up the oiliness of my hair. good luck.

I have pcos and earlier i began clinical care (vitex and spironolactone) I suffered from greasy hair and dandruff. My meds/herbs cleared it up with the help of balancing my hormones.

Get shampoo that is made specifically for oily hair. And try different products that don't leave too much residue.
