I've never surfed before, except for a little bit of kayak surfing. I'll be on Oahu for a week in December and would like to take 1 or 2 surfing lessons. Any recommendations?

Yup, Waikiki beach (Queens) if you go to the hotels right there (Royal Hawaiian, the Outrigger) they offer surf lessons but you would prob get a better rate at a surf shop. Don't try the north shore but you should at least check it out.

Your terrific guess is going to be in and around Waikiki. The south shore of Oahu is extra forgiving than someplace else on the island. The final time i replace into there, there replace right into a surf save, stunning on the coastline at Kuhio, that provided leases and training. no longer a techniques from the statue of a few regularly happening surfer (call escapes me).

Your best bet is going to be in and around Waikiki. The south shore of Oahu is more forgiving than elsewhere on the island. The last time I was there, there was a surf shop, right on the beach at Kuhio, that offered rentals and lessons. Not far from the statue of some famous surfer (name escapes me).

You're going to have a blast, any of the larger hotels at Waikiki beach should offer lessons, also when you get to Honolulu International airport, check the brochures booth where you should find a bunch of surfing lessons numbers to call.

Enjoy!!!!!!!11
