How did you buy the chocs without the wrappers on them?

Roll the tin over a sheet of wrapping paper, allow about 2 inches excess top and bottom. Cut, wrap paper round tin and fix the matt sellotape. Now pleat each end of excess paper over the tin. Secure with matt sellotape and decorate the top end with decorative ribbon.
Sorry, been out of England too long. If it's a biscuit type tin, you're going to have to leave enough excess to more than meet the centre of the tin top and bottom. Proceed as above!

Use 2 sheets of coloured tissue papers. You can get them anywhere like Clinton or Sainsbury. They are very good for wrapping weird things like bottle of wine, so you can use them for the tins as well. And fold at the sides of the tin so that the ends of the papers are gathered at the bottom. Tape the ends together. Then use a ribbon to secure the paper in place. I would draw it out if only I can!

Turn the tin upside down onto the wrong side of wrapping paper and draw the paper up round the sides and tape it together. When turned upright, the join will be at the bottom and not show.

Tins Of Roses

I hate wrapping presents. I got my friend a tin of tose last year (or was it the year before?) but I'm not very good and it took her about twenty minutes to unwrap it (I always get sellotape-mad at Xmas). They sould stop making tins such a horrible shape but I think that round tins are MUCH, MUCH, MUCH worse.
In conclusion: eat them instead.

Practice.

or loosely wrap the tin in tissue paper before putting it into a gift bag.

I don't know that I would rap them if they are in a beautiful box. (honestly I don't know what street chocolates are) BUT if they don't come in a pretty package, I would put them in a christmas tin with a nice silk ribbon around it. That way the tin will keep the chocolates fresh and you can also use it later. Hope this helps!

Things like this I sometimes put inside a cardboard box. One, because it hides what the present is (or at least makes it a bit less obvious) and two, it makes for easier wrapping.

I have the same trouble with cuddly animal toys, they also go in a box (with airholes of course).

I place the tin into a box then, that way its easier to wrap!

Use a big giftbag instead and sellotape it from the top; save yourself the hassel of wrapping it up, and you can get some really nice christmasy gift bags too.
