Bill Oddie likes to hid in a bush with binoculars spying on the birds. When they leave the nest he creeps up and leaves little drawings of them, that he has done, in the nest. He then retreats back to his hiding place and waits. He loves to see the look in their bemused little faces when they find the drawings.

I do not think he will currently collect eggs bearing in mind all the fantastic work he does for natural world.

However, egg collecting was very widely accepted back in the 50's and early 60's - so possibly he participated back then when it seemed to be commercially acceptable

Yes, my sources tell me he had peregrine falcon for breakfast this morning.
Also, he invented the myth of the Cuckoo- he steals the eggs from cuckoos nests and uses them to replace the eggs he stole. The whistle he uses as part of the disguise was a present from a member of the Proms orchestra.

P.S. I love the hot new photo- are posters available? I'm getting rather fed up with my pictures of Simon Cowell.
