German culture values stoic strength in men. SO he probably would be the strong silent type. Beer for breakfast is common in Germany, even for working people on work days. Also, there is a cultural guilt thing from the war. They are often fun people though, once you get through the silent walls they make. Also, liking nature and good at fixing things.

Here's my take and it's not what you're looking for: men are men. It's not fair or beneficial to you to pigeon hole your German guy as that--"German Guy." My guy is from another country, but I don't love or hate things about him because of his cultural heritage. I don't act any differently with him than I did when I dated Americans or Austrailians or Indians. And I don't chalk up an attitude, a behavior, a technique to where he's from. He's just him. Don't stereotype your sweetie. Know what I mean?

To be honestly frank with you, my experience was lousy. I found them to be boring with a capital B. They couldn't get my humour completely because of German being their first language (no matter how much American/brit tv or music they listen to). If you're looking for romance and passion...they are not it. Plus, Cynthia's right, they aren't cut. Pros? None.

Well i'm German and we tend to have a little bit of a bad temper sometimes..... But ive noticed that runs with most German families,,,,,
