i believe it is normal, i did the same thing with my first pregnancy and also with this one, maybe even worse. I have also had friends who have had the same exact symptoms. My doctor said it is from hormones and how your body is reacting to them and also by the stretching of ligaments. I hope this makes you feel better, nobody told me that you cramp and have pains when you are first pregnant either, but you can always ask your doctor. Mine always said everything was probably fine if there was no bleeding, good-luck!

It is normal to feel period like cramping. I have experienced it with my two previous pregnancies and with this one as well. I am also 5 weeks along. If it gets intense or very painful I would go in and get checked out. Good Luck!

Its not unusual to not be feeling all the symptoms at 5 weeks. I never started getting ANY symptoms until i was about 9 weeks, i started getting nausea and vomiting for about 3 weeks straight. Now i am 15.3 weeks along and its gone away, i pee a lot and my breasts hurt that's about it. Everyone experiences different symptoms at different stages in pregnancy. I got my 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks, 3 days. I got to see the heartbeat which was reassuring that everything was going okay. And yes you can have sex lol as long as you don't start spotting or somethin then ur not supposed to. Just take your prenatal vitamins if u haven't started yet, eat healthy, don't smoke/drink, and buckle in for the next 35 weeks hun! Good luck to u! Cograts!

I had that too. It came due to several reasons. Cramping can be caused from dehydration and or growth of baby pushing on organs or a urinary tract infection or a yeast infection. If possible see your doctor. If you have to wait a couple of days to see them, drink 27% cranberry juice (not the cheap cocktail), and eat some good quality yogurts. You could have an infection or it could be nothing, but why take the risk.

For several weeks i had what feels like period cramps, and back pain. I didnt take a test for 2 1/2 weeks from missed period. I wasnt worried about being pregnant, b/c I kept feeling like I was gonna start! So while this sounds like you are just fine go to doc for your safety and piece of mind!

If your ever EVER unsure call your Dr.

But Untill about 10 weeks of my pregnancy I had lots of pain. Period type cramps are normal. Really a Dr. just tells you not to worry unless you see blood.
