i would have to agree with the israeli flag. but also why are christmas colors green and red? the flag is blue and white though because blue is the water and white is the sky and it is suppose to represent that g-d is all around us, and for jews channukah isnt about gifts it is about the miracles that heppened them and the temple and the big thing is that g-d WAS with the jews during those times so maybe that is why the colors are blue and white and maybe silver because channukah is becoming present oriented so they wanted it to be prettier!

Hanukkah Colors

there are no traditional hanukkah colours. I would say that in the commercialized version of hanukkah the reason is because the israeli flag is blue and white so companies who make decorations changed the white to silver in order to add a Christmas like, glittered affect. This is the only reason that blue and silver are colours used in hannukah decorations, they have no religious significance whatsoever.

It's just a made up thing. There is no specific reason why they use those colours. As a matter of fact it's not only used on Hanukkah, but also on other festivals. It's just a decoration statement. Take care!

There are no official colours of Chanukah.

Blue and white (or silver) was adopted by some because its the official colours of Israel (as in the Israeli flag).

There is no religious significance whatsoever.
