my g/f's son is nearly 16 and will not wear anything other than boxer shorts around the house and even hangs out on the front porch around his buddies in his boxers. sometimes he'll walk around the house all day in a towel. i dont think he's gay. isnt there something wrong with this? he says its comfortable and doesnt care what ppl think. i say 'grow up'!

his mother and i both have asked him to put some clothes on because we find it uncomfortable (he is morbidly obese) and disrespectful.

He is WAY to old to be running around the house in his underware. I am surpised his friends haven't said anything to him. Most guys do not want to see another guys drawers! Tell Mom to lay down the law and make this boy put some clothes on. Sweatpants and warm-ups are comfortable too. If he needs that much comfort he can hang out in his room with his door closed.

His mom has to deal with this as its not normal. She should care that he needs to learn how to have some class and not be a slob. Odds are she is dealing with this and is not sure what to do. Odds are its his way of trying to show dominance in the house by doing something that irritates everybody. Bottom line thats what it is....being a slob outwardly and mentally. He doesn't care what people think? Well again thats a case in point. Well you can't really say anything because it's her son and if you do you will be on the outs. If you don't live there step back a bit..... you are not so available to come over. If you do live together..... ignore it and he will get bored with being like that. Soon enough his mom will start concentrating on his getting a job and such. Keep your irritation as an inside voice.

Well I have 2 sons and when they were younger they wore their boxers and a tee-shirt. Now they were the basketball short, boxers and a tee-shirt. He is in his house you are a visitor remember. I am sure when you are at home what ever you feel comfortable in you wear it right. He could be doing something far worst than having on his boxers all day.

I am 17 years old and I hang around the house in my underwear all the time, but not with friends around thats kind of weird. You never know though maybe he is aspiring to be an underwear model someday.

i mean it is all great to be confident and not care what people think but that is just weird. maybe if someone else in the house walked around with a towel on all day in front of his friends he might see how weird it is lol

I think its fine, nothing wrong with one trying to be comfortable in their home, but boxers have one problem, boxers have an opening in which his lil john could come out at any given time.

I say you should grow up!!! I do it all the time and I'm 20. There's nothing with being comfortable in your own skin. If he's not disrespecting anyone who matters then let it go. Because it sure sounds like you shouldn't matter if he does value your opinion.

In his room but not around the house or on the porch. Maybe the reason he does this is he doesn't have anything to show.
