i think it is great you stay home to help out. plus most people our age and younger don't have that option to live at home! but your boyfriend, i wouldn't worry as long as he makes an effort to move out or puts money away to move out, or shows some sort clue that he doesn't want to live at home forever.

My main question about his living situation would be ... Is he making a financial contribution to the running of the household? If he is paying rent and for his own groceries, and for his portion of the phone bill, cable TV, etc. then I wouldn't have that much of a problem with him living in his parents' home. BUT, if he is living there without making a major contribution, then he is just sponging off of them, and that does NOT bode well for anyone living in his future!!

How do you really feel about his situation? Does it just embarass you to tell people that? Or are you just basing your feelings on what society says he should be doing/living? If it really bothers you, consider how much and if it is affecting your happiness in that relationship....... then perhaps it might be time to get out of this one. If it doesn't really bother YOU just forget about it and be happy.

Yes, just take a day at a time. Get over it. His parents might need him also. Not all guys are independent.

Truth is its getting harder and harder for single young people to afford to live on their own. Sad but true.
