I've been dating this guy for a little over a month right now and things seem to be going very well. We see each other 2 or 3 times a week and neither of us are seeing other people. However there is no label attached yet, that I know of. I don't know whether to expect this, or just ask him about it.

if you were already thinking of gift to get him, then tell him you wanted to get him a little something and see what he says. as for new years, think about this: do you want to bring the new year in with him by your side? if not, don't ask. if so, then ask him if he wants to spend New years with you.

Just explain that you need to start making your Christmas plans with your family and did you need to leave some space open for him or what exactly did he have in mind? That way the decision is his without too much pressure on him

I always do. But none of those relationships have ever worked out so in hindsight none of it really matters. It is fun to, when you're in a new relationship it's kinda exciting to do these things. Don't do it just out of obligation though.
