I have crazy thick curly hair. I used to do all sorts of things to try to manage it. I have found that natural is the way to go. Ever since I let my hair grow, added some long layers and pretty much wash and go, I get at least 2 compliments a day on my hair from total strangers. Even when I think I'm having a bad hair day! Another tip is to make sure you have great products. One thing about curly hair is that it tends to be dry so washing it every day freaks it out. Let it air dry or use a diffuser.
The best products I have found are Catwalk CURLS ROCK by TIGI. Especially important is the curl amplifier. It never stops giving me results like products in the past have.

Try a curl relaxer from Redken. It works fairly well for some types of curly hair. It will slightly relax your curls and make them less fuzzy. Or, instead of straightening it completely, try making the curls bigger with a curling iron. Just pull your hair completely taught, and then roll your hair around the barrel in the direction of your natural curls.Use a 2 or 3 inch barrel curling iron. You could also try an "Inside out braid." It works well for thick hair. (If your hair is long enough.)

Hey there, it depends what occasion you are talking about...
For a casual/work look, try leaving it loose but maybe wearing a headband to keep it away from your face. I recently got a nice one from Accessorize that is black with a silver swirly pattern which is cute :-)
For a night out, pull the top section of your hair back and secure it with some grips (Claire's Accessories do some lovely silver ones with butterflies); if you fancy a completely different look then you can always straighten it with good old GHD's!
Good luck!

for curly hair, get a cut which is just off the shoulders, that way you can leave them open when you feel like it or can make it into a ponytail. also i recommend a side parting which gives the best look and get a few highlights done.

Go natural. Long hair is best when towel dried, combed through and left to air dry with a anti-frizz product and a light holding product. If you must dry it make sure you diffuse and finger style as much as possible.

I usually get long layers put into my hair when I get it cut. Then when I style at home I usually towel dry and scrunch mousse into it. When it air drys like this it looks like nice soft curls without the frizz.

I have frizzy hair and I straighten it all the time, it makes it much easier to take care of.
