"A couple" is two. More than that and you are crossing acceptable social drinking borders. After work? How many times a week? Should not be more than one evening a week.
Sounds like your girlfriend is concerned about your drinking or she is concerned you might meet someone else at a bar. Talk to her.

You should invite her to join you and I'm sure she won't get mad at you, even if she doesn't join you.......the fact that you have asked her should calm her down.
I don't see the harm in a couple of drinks after work......... but make sure you don't drink and drive.

everyone unwinds from a long, rough day in their own way. personally i find nothing wrong with knocking a couple back after work. its when theyre the most refreshing.
im guessing she gets mad because she thinks youre turning into an alcoholic or some dumb thing like that......yeah, had that problem once myself. pains in the a*ses.

Truth of the matter is that socializing at the bar without your gf isn't cohesive to a committed relationship. Would it be ok with you if she stopped off for a few now and then ?

well if you didn't invite her , i would get mad too.
and if you don't invite her it looks suspicious, like your looking for a nother girl.
i can completely see why she'd be upset.
Can't you?
Personally if it was you girl, going out with her friends, having drinks, in a bar filled with guys who are looking to hook up.
it wouldn't make you upset?
you wouldn't start to question it if it happens regularly,
i can say it would deffinately bother me,
but make sure that your response to her is appropriate, if you want to keep her.
good luck.
