Jon Kabat-Zinn, a researcher at U Mass, has done alot of work and has books and tapes on pain management through meditation. Not newagey woo woo or religious - just practical help for when meds aren't working. Check out his website below, and google him for articles. Also your library will have his books.

I sure am not saying don't keep looking for the right meds, and neither is he I don't believe - but this might be a good adjunct solution.

Best to you, I hope you get relief quick.

They had a very interesting discussion on the latest technology to alleviate this pain on a radio show called "The Material World" on BBC Radio 4. The latest stuff involves using CGI (believe it or not).

I am not sure about meds. I have read a book called "Phantoms in the Brain" and it deals with such issues. I do not know if it will help, but it is a good read. Good luck.
