I am positive that I have anxiety and I am tired of living with it. Whenever I am in a social setting where I do not know anyone, I get very nervous. My stomach starts hurting really bad, and I feel very nauseous. Then I start getting these hot flashes( I am not menopausal I am only 19). I feel extremely hot, and then I get the chills. It wasn't a big deal at that time, but now it has gotten really bad. I can deal with all these symptoms, but whenever I get these hot flashes, I tend to develop a bad odor coming from my underarms. I can shower, put on deodorant/antiperspirant, and 30 minutes later when I am sitting in class and I get a hot flash, I start to smell really really bad. I do not know what to do. I have very little sweat in my underarms when I get these hot flashes. Hygiene and diet are not the issues here. I have tried every deodorant/antiperspirant (including Drysol and Certain Dri), I shower every day, and I don't eat any garlic or onions.

My friend had the same problem . She saw a doctor and he told her she had a slight hormone inbalance and they took care of it quite easily.

Try to look it up on WEBMD.com I have read articles where ppl can have hormonal disfunctions or lack an enzyme that treatment is available for.I had a bf in high school who was a jock and he showered but had bad odor...he visited his Dr. and they tested him for a certain type of cancer. He had bowel cancer..but he also is male and had other other symptoms as well.He got treatment...no more cancer...or odor.It sounds like you have adrenal issues....maybe thyroid.See your Doc...

Yes it would be worthwhile to get checked. It could be a hormone imbalance. It may not be extreme but it may still be off. So I would just go get checked and with simple blood tests they can tell. Even with the imbalance in hormones it can be your thyroid. So just get yourself checked out and you'll be ok.

Try researching botox. It will help your underarms, but it will cause you to sweat in other places. Also, you should talk to a doctor about anti-anxiety medicine.
