Bent as in bent like you're driving a car or holding something as opposed to keeping them at your sides. Does that help you get a better workout in anyway...? I personally think it looks silly, but if it helps...

Your arms should be at the 90 degree angle and swing them. This will definitely give you a better work out since you are not only working your lower part of your body but the upper part as well. It also helps with your breathing and blood circulation.

nothing. it helps if you swing your arms back and forth instead of keeping them from swinging. so when you run make sure u swing those arms. bending your arms for a usefull purpose is just a myth by people who cannot medically explain it.

sorry, i thought u meant just keep them bent, when u swing them they should naturally be bent which will be the most comfortable. so go with the flow. if you are comfortable when you bend them which they swing, it is BUENO

I was told it keeps your hands and fingers from swelling (which can be very painful - it happend to me in a walk a thon fund raiser and they had me walk with my hands on my shoulders to help bring the swelling down.

It keeps your hands from swelling. If you wear rings, you can definately tell the difference.
