Hey everybody gots there limit and he reach yours. there's nothing wrong with that. you bf is a pig, not was, IS. I don't think it's a question of right or wrong it's about your standers and u have that right as a human being. we all have to draw the line in the sand sometime. on the other hand if u really love him and he loves u and your thinking of getting back. he going to have to change all of that or your just going to break up with him again. sometimes telling a person once, they just don't get it but maybe he will try the second time and if that don't work then you know he not going to change anything.

Personally I do not think you are wrong. That is pretty gross!! But in my experience, most men just leave their crap scattered throughout the house, and expect you to pick it all up. I think its just a man thing. My husband does that too, and when I ask him to pick it up he tells me that he will do it in a minute. It makes me so mad, but it really depends on whether or not you can handle it. As far as the shower and the condom thing, yeah, I would've dumped him too! Men after work are stinky and no one should have to put up with that (unless you like stinky men, but really, who does?!).

If he doesn't realize your house and bed and kitchen aren't penny toilets, you can't help it. At least he has to be decent enough to act clean when he's around people ~ especially the ones he's supposed to care about ~ like the one he sleeps with :-)
If you probably miss the sex or being intimate with him, get a hotel room or if you can imagine how his house will be, venture (at your own risk) of going over to his place.
But, for sure, if he cannot be sensitive to basic hygene and cleanliness, he sure isn't worth your time and thought.

How could you have sex with him in the first place? I was getting sick reading your story. You definitely did the right thing by breaking up with him. If he doesn't want to change why should you stay and suffer. If I was ever that gross I would hope my gf would tell me so I can clean up.

You were probably right! Some things you can accept from the bad habits of another person who lives with you. Some things are unacceptable and if the person won't change his habits, you're probably better off without him.

Sounds to me like you think you did the right thing and that is all that is important actually. It doesn't appear that your ex has too many social graces if he carried on like this and I am sure that you can do a lot better.

Deal breakers are individual things...if these habits of his upset you, and he wasn't willing to change them, then you were within your rights to exit that relationship. No point in sticking with someone who drives you nuts and causes you to become resentful because of their habits and hygiene.
If you feel okay with it...then it was the right thing...I don't believe I'd have been tolerant of those things either.
