Sweating problem has been now for years but I've not bothered to seek medical attention cause I felt it was no disease. Irrespective of outside temperatures, I sweat profusely and wake up with soaked sheets and pyjamas. Sweating is from all over the body.

if you are a woman I would say menopause is causing it

Hi... you don't mention whether you're male or female, but menopause is notorious for causing hot flashes and night sweats. Night sweats as related to menopause are hot flashes that occur during sleep. They're annoying as h***, but are a part of life for many women and usually resolve in time and often with hormonal help.

More ominous causes of sweating include (but aren't limited to) metabolic problems, hormone issues not related to menopause, and certain kinds of malignancy (cancers) such as lymphomas.

There is a condition called hyperhidrosis that causes excessive sweating. This can sometimes be treated with Botox, which you would need to have prescribed by a doctor.

Your first step to stopping the sweating is to find out what is causing it. I recommend that you schedule an appointment with your doctor very soon to get this taken care of. Meanwhile, you can try a few tricks that worked for me while I was having menopause night sweats.

1. Sleep in a cool room, as cool as you can get it.

2. Shower before bed, and go to bed with a damp head.

3. Use just a sheet-- avoid heavy blankets (or any blankets at all if you can stand it).

4. Sleep in the buff or with just the bare minimum in pajamas.

5. Avoid spicy foods, caffeine and nicotine in the evenings. These are all vasodilators... they increase blood flow to the skin and heighten the sensation of heat (flushing).

6. Drink plenty of cool beverages during the day.

I suffered from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Tried everything my doctor told me. My hyperhidrosis was so bad at times that I wouldn't go near crowded places, let alone sit in restaurants or go to the cinema or theater.
Until I found the information on this site: http://stop-sweating-now.keysolve.net

It helped me in ways that I still cannot comprehend; this is truly remarkable. It's been 7 days since I completed the basic Sweat Miracle program and my hyperhidrosis is gone without a trace.

Have you checked your blood sugar lately? If I were you I would see a doctor. It might be a signal for a greater problem.

Depending on your age, I would say to see a doctor. That doesn't sound normal.
