take this verse:

Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'

or howabout the crucifixtion?

when jesus said:

Father why have you forsaken me!

or all the times that jesus prayed to his father like the night before he was crucified?

and what about in Revelation:

and the son will sit at his fathers right side.

In Genesis when God said "Let us make man in our image" - who was he talking to? He is trinity - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

When God made man in his image he was talking about the 3 aspects of man that reflect the 3 aspects of God in the trinity:

1- the physical (your body, represented by Jesus - see the Gospel of John where it says "the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us")

2 - the soul (the mind the seat of emotions, represented by the Holy Spirit) and

3 - the spirit of man - (representing that fact that God is Spirit - scriptural reference - "God is a Spirit and must be worshipped in spirit and in truth)

Scripture is full of proof that God exists as the trinity. In the Hebrew text, God is described in many aspects, such as God the Creator, God the Father, God the Provider, Almighty God, and so forth, but he is still the One and Only God.

Consider this - you can be a father, a son, a brother and an uncle and still be one person.

Hope this helps.

Greetings,
YOU are really confused. If you look in Matthew where John baptizes Jesus at the Jordan you will read that Jesus came up out of the water and a dove comes down and lights upon His shoulder. Then there is heard a loud voice from the heavens declaring that this is my son of whom I am proud of.
So you have Jesus, the dove(the Holy Spirit) and the voice of God all in the same place at the same time.
So find a real Christian church to attend and get away from the tool of the devil the Roman Catholic Church.

The Bible also says,
I am of the father and the father of me
Take an Egg for instance, an egg is 3 parts the shell, the yolk and the egg white, 3 different things but one item
Same with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
God sent of himself in the form of "man" to save us from sin.
Thou shall have No other Gods but me, why if they were separate would God create someone else that people would worship?
IE God, Jesus Holy Spirit one in the same.

God came down in human form as Jesus not physically but kinda like out of body experience.Jesus was God in the form of man.
We could not comprehend or be close enough to God he is to powerful sorta like the girl on Xmen that couldn't touch anyone or they'd die that's God times a billion. rev.1:12-20. The trinity came after Jesus and the holy spirit is mentioned several time before and after Jesus. the holy Spirit is kinda like your conscience ya know the guys that sit on your shoulders and tell you right and wrong. That's in lam ins terms kinda quick and hope it helps a little God Bless. Don't trip he ain't done with me yet!!

Okay. I will attempt to answer.

Humans have a body. And we also have a soul, and we also have a spirit. So we are three different forms, which make a complete person: body, soul, and spirit. We are three distinct COMPONENTS, in one (person). The sum total is a human.

http://www.layevangelism.com/advtxbk/soulandspirit/soulspirit-1.htm

God is Jehovah, Jesus, and God's Spirit (The Holy Spirit). He is three distinct PERSONS, in one (BEING).

John 1:1 says that "In the beginning WAS the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS (also) God." ( I just paraphrased a little, to drive home my point, to make it clearer. That doesn't change scripture a bit.)

^^^^^^So THERE you have "the Word" (Jesus)...and God together from the very beginning. God never "created" Jesus. He simply always WAS.

************************************************************************
Okay...

Now last (or rather, first), we have this verse...Genesis 1:1-2

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the SPIRIT of God moved upon the face of the waters. "

AND ALSO GENESIS 1:26

"And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

Who was God speaking to?

There^^^ is the Holy Spirit, working in creation.

I don't have alot of time right now to expound but there is one verse that might help Acts 5 3&4 Peter said Annaias why has satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the land? While it remained unsold did it not remain your own? and after it was sold did it not remain under your control? Why is it then you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God? Notice the two verses equate the lying to the Holy Spirit with lying to God. Mathew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all men baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Romans 15:30 I urge you brothers by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God. Titus 3: 3-6 He saved us by the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our saviour. The teaching is God is three persons in One God. Not One person. Some non Christian groups teach God is only one person, but that is not what bible teaches and contrary to what is said by one writer it did not appear 600 years later. There are many thousand of copies of scriptures some very early after the death ofJesus and some partial and fragments. Because there is so many it is easy to compare and catch the very few mistakes that appear. the argument you can't trust the rliability of the scriptures is employed by those who are trying to discredit them in order to sell their own religion such as Jehovas Witnesses or Mormons. Yet they don't question the passages they use to try and promote their own religion with.Others try and discredit scripture because they don't want to believe. The truth is there are no works of antiquity that have more copies and close to the time of orignal transmission. The gospels have been copied inot many languages and have more than 25,000 pieces and partial books. Some of these date back as early as 60-100 A.D. They also have the quotations of the early saints who quote a huge portion of the new testament which again serves as a comparison to weed out any mistranslations. Again when you look at the verse I first quoted in acts 5 the apostle peter equates lying to the Holy Spirit with lying to God.

Here's how I think of it. Think about water. Water can be in 3 forms, solid, which is tangible, liquid which you can feel, and you know it's there simply by that, and steam which is warm when it surrounds you. God is the liquid, the pure state of water, that you can feel, but not always see, even though you beilieve that the water is there. Jesus is the solid, the tangible proof of God's existance, and the Holy Spirit is the steam, that warmth that surrounds youwhen you are cold. Basically, God is completely beyond all comprehension, there is no way we'll understand the Triune God because it is outside out realm of understanding. But, you really just have to believe in it, that's why I use the water thing. It helps me realize that God is all in one, all knowing, all powerful, all seeing, and all feeling.

Okay, I'll try to give this as best a shot as I can in the smallest amount of words possible:

In the beginning God made the Heavens and the Earth and populated it with people and animals. He ofcourse created a utopian society, but once Eve messed that up sin ran rampant on the earth.

Tower of Babel. Noah and the Ark. Slavery. Moses lead people to Israel. Still worse sin.

Lord said enough! These creatures are not listening or abiding by my law and I created them and all they have. I must get to them on THEIR level. Aha! I will put myself in human form (Jesus) to be born through a virgin, so for those that believe in him shall have everlasting life.

Now, here I inject a little editorial...you're a guy....if you have a son, you consider him an extension of you.

Jesus is God in human form...he had to be born through a human being in order to live the "life" in a process that we could relate to. God did this for our benefit....not his own...so that we may relate. Now think about it, if you were God and decided to wallk amongst your creation it would frek us out and you just raining out of the sky like, "I'm here!!!!! You can all start worshipping me now"!!!! I hope this is making sense so far.

Now in the first verse, your quote above was taken from the part of the New Testament where Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene after he died and was buried. Jesus went to Hell first and on his way to Heaven (The Ascension) and because for his love of MM, he re-appeared to her to soothe her broken heart. She loved him and he loved her. He loved her most because she followed him WITHOUT QUESTION and with UNABIDING LOYALTY. That has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit.

Now about the HS, This is the 3rd part of the Trinity that gives you the "feeling" that God is with you....his presence that guides you to do the things he wants you to do.

Ok, not as short as I thought, but hey I gave it a shot. My dad is a Reverend. While I do not claim to know it all, I've absorbed.

I hope this helps. Good Luck on your search!
