I'll only answer your main question. Yes, it would be quite wrong to use Yahoo Answers as a dating service.
Yahoo Answers is a forum for exchange of information, advice and experiences. Not for advertising gimmicks. In fact it is very clearly against their Community Guidelines.
There already are a few advertisements of dating sites doing the rounds especially in the Singles and Dating category, and most often they are completely out of context with the question. These should be barred from appearance by Yahoo. Whether, or how, they'll do it, I cannot say.
