Our bodies are much more than 70% water....it's something like %96 water with 4.0% being minerals.
I believe I wrote once where sailors and airmen lost and later recovered at sea up to, the oldest 120 days, went 120 days with minimal water amounts . One man weighted 240 when his ship went down and drifted over 3000 miles before found, he weighted 75 pounds.losing 165 pounds, he had liquid from a sea turtle and used the shell to catch and drain blood from birds, some fish and rain, etc over a period of six months. Check with the Navy for more information. Of course there are exceptions to these figures.

This is what I know:
Our body is more than 70% water.
We should drink enough water to sustain our supple skin and to help fight disease.
Take your weight (140 lbs), then divide in half (70) and that is the number of ounces per day of water your body needs.
So a person weighing 140 pounds needs 70 ounces of water each and every day.
For a handout on the importance of water, contact me and I will email it to you and anyone else interested.

We are nearly 70% water, that means that we cannot live without it. So, instead of us drinking all those diet Pepsi's and Gatorades, we need to be drinking more water. Enjoy!
