1) Not infallible. That's making a Paper Pope out of scripture.
2) Salvation can be found there....that is the ONLY purpose of Scripture.
3) Scripture, Tradition and Reason are the ultimate moral guides. Equal parts of each is the right recipe.
As for pedophelia....do a Google search.

The Bible change into written through God with human fingers, God has given the writers precisely what he has needed them to write down. The translations are not from now on that distinct to make the total bible invalid, the bible has been shown top better cases than incorrect through mixed archeological surveys in diverse parts of the Holy Land. in case you fairly believe in the bible you're doing something top. And if the bible is erroneous for some reason a minimum of christians have positioned some constructive values into the international and not in any respect hate and negativity each and every time they form the keys on the keyboard.

Look at John 3:1-21. Read it over and over. Verses 3-15 are the heart of it. Being "born again" is the key. (the holy spirit lives in your heart).
The Bible must be the infallible and inerrant Word of God, or it is absolutely worthless. No middle ground.
All the slaughter that took place in the O.T. was for different reasons, you must understand the context of each. God did not condone slaughter. Often it was for judgment.
As far as I know pedophilia is not found in the Bible. It would be covered under fornication or sexual impurity.

The ultimate moral guide is your heart, not a book.
The bible is interesting as history, and has a few good morals /guidelines in it, but it is hardly the ultimate reference (and its not even consistent with itself). It would be a better book if it was re-translated from the original texts, then at least we would get rid of the errors that crept in throughout history, but it still wouldn't be a substitute for your own heart & mind.
As to why there was acceptable violence in the old testament, and it was deemed unnacceptable in the new testament: some have said that 'God the Father' is more violent old-world than 'God the Son/Jesus', and that Jesus died to save us FROM HIS FATHER. I.E. he died for our sins, so that his father didn't have to kill us (destroy the entire human race). So, the rules changed once Jesus died on the cross.
I don't know that pedophilia is mentioned in the bible. Its one of those 'use your heart to guide you' things. As for pedohpiles, I think they are ignoring their true heart when they act on their desires.

Yes I do believe the Bible is infallible. 2 Tim 3:16 says "All Scripture is God-breathed"...
1 Peter 1:25 The word of the Lord stands forever.
And it is the ultimate guide. God commanded the Jews to kill those nations. There's a big difference between God commanding it for justice and when humans does it out of their own emotions or opinion.
Acts 16:31They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved
Romans 10:10,13 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
John 6:47 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life.
John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

No. The bible is not the ultimate moral guide.
Actually the bible is silent on the matter of pedophilia.
Why does none of its passages address a crime of such devastation?
The following verse is not addressing pedophilia in any way, but rather saying it is a grievous sin to discourage children from their belief in Jesus.
"But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matthew 18:10, KJV)

The Phillipian jailer asked Paul and Silas what he must do to be saved, in Acts 16:31. They answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved."
Romans 10:9 (New Living Translation)
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Moral guide:
When a people turn from God it is His soverign right to take whatever steps He deems necessary. It may not seem fair to the innocents but it is not for us to judge God. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than ours. Isaiah 55:9
I don't know that pedophilia is found in the bible but it's source, along with the rest of the world's troubles, are manifest by man's sin nature (Jeremiah 17:9) due to satan's dominion, albeit temporary, of this world following the fall of man.

The bible is false, only fiction and mythology can be found between its covers. The bible is a poor moral guide, especially the old testament. I don't believe the bible speaks of pedophilia specifically though there are stories of rape/incest... Lot got his two daughters pregnant Genesis 19:32-36.

there are parts of the bible that are a moral guide.. and others are just history. The New Testament is more of the moral code and The Old Testament was history. should we take the holocaust out of the history book just because it was bad? no. in the new testament... i cant remember the verse... but Jesus says" Through me, you will all be saved." or something like that. i would browse the first four books of the new testament. thats where you will find Jesus' teachings.

New Testament
yes
The leader of the jews be it David, Solomon destroyed countries under guidance from God and at his direction, because of their worshippeing other gods or idols.
pedophilia as a crime itself is not mentioned in the bible, however Jesus taught wew must obey the law of those appointed or elected over us. I personnaly believe the punishment should be much harsher than it is.
