The Jews believe in Jehovah but not in Christ or Mohammed.
The Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet, but they follow the teaching of Mohammed.
The Christians believe in Jehovah and Christ, but believe Mohammed was not a prophet of God.
The God that the Jews and Christians worship does not call on them to kill or enslave those who don't believe as they do. The Muslims believe that their god does call on them to do this. I do not think the same God would have such contradictory teachings. For this reason, I do not believe that the Muslims follow the same God as the Jews and Christians.

It is not whether the God of Islam, Christianity, and Jews is the same entity. There is only one God. The question is, what is the understanding of that God by the people in question? God is the God of all people. The fact that people do not know Him as I know Him does not diminish the fact that He is still God.
To find the true characteristics of God is the reason for all religion. To attempt to define the nature of something we can not see, yet still believe in. Some see God as being in all things (pantheism) Others see God in man made objects (idols) Some see Him in many forms, others in only one form.
Throughout the ages, it has been Satan's design to misrepresent the character of God. In doing so, Satan can undermine the government of God by making God seem unloving or unjust. It was to keep alive a true knowledge of the living God, that God called out Abraham from the midst of idolatry. It was for this same purpose that Jesus came in the flesh so that God's true character could be seen through Jesus Christ.
The battle between religions is not which God to believe in, but what is the true nature of God? What are His defining characteristics? How does He manifest this nature to mankind?

yea its just that Jews and Muslims got it wrong about everything else but god. They got it wrong because Jesus came and changed things. That is what the new testament is about. Islam and Jew dwell on the Pentateuch. It has been amended. It is o.k to eat pork etc. There is so much violence because Jew and Islam hang on things in the old testament. The whole reason Jesus came is to die for our sins and amend our covenant with god. Israel thinks that god promised them Palestine. Right now Iraq is in civil war, The two major factions of Islam the Shiite and Sunni are at war. Our presence there isn't helping. Why can't we all just get along? The west and the east differ in fundamental biblical teachings. The whole situation entails much more but I would need pages to write on and just get pissed thinking about the cancer in the middle east.

You are incorrect.
As a Christian, you believe in the Triune God. God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. They are distinct, yet part of the one. And more specifically, as a Christian, you must believe that all of human kind is sinful and that Jesus's sacrifice on the cross paid for your sin and you must repent (turn away from) your sin.
Jews believe in the same God the Father and the Holy Spirit, but they do not believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God, the Messiah, etc. (which is a real pity, because they had all the proofs of him in their hands!). They will believe eventually though.
Muslims believe in a creation of Mohammad that is actually an offshoot of the moon god worshiped by Arabs during his time. Don't be confused or misled into believing that Allah is the same as Jehovah. It is not.
So they are not all the same.

Not all wars are about religion. The American Revolution had absolutely nothing to do with religion. The American Civil War, the same. World War One and Two- - - nothing with religion.
Civil War is breaking out in Iraq right now - - - both the Shiites and the Sunnis pray to the same Allah.
Saddam attempted to grab up Kuwait to have more access to the Gulf, nothing to do with religion- - - both sides Muslim.

~~~ PGH,,,, The 3 "gods" to which you refer all have their origins in the ancient religion of Zoroastrianism. Check out the character of Saoshyant, among others, and you will recognize very familiar characters and events. This is not a coincidence. Open your mind. Study from those who do not have Subjective Agendas.
Yes, it's basically the same god. That means, the same manifestation of man's wish to connect to some entity beyond the physical.
It's the same god ok - and he/she/it doesn't exist
That's the big 3. And the premise in all is....there is only ONE God. The problem arises in how we each understand God to be. God is spirit! If we allow this spirit to permeate our lives, all abuse, war, violence, etc. would cease. Let's try it!
