Why don't we remove the Iragi military/police training outside of Iraq and into a wiling country, or our own, so that we can train the Iraqi's outside of Iraq? This could save some of our men from getting hurt/killed, which in turn would give American politicians some breathing room as things go south in Iraq. Has anyone seen any pentagon discussion on this idea?

I was thinking of perhaps Kuwait, here in the US or in Saudi Arabia or another country.

They have been doing this for years. Jordan is where most of the police, officers and NCOs are trained.

Because once you remove them for training I looks like you are creating an army to control the people. You must keep them there and allow the people to see what the training is and how it will be a positive thing for their country.

Moving them to alternate site would prove too costly.

Nothing beats on-the-job training, as opposed to a simulated environment. Remember this is a real war, not a game.

Many of the officers are being trained in military schools such as West Point.

value and criminal duty. weekly flights to u . s . a . X fees alot. additionally, it would be a large way for terrorists to get criminal front right into a rustic. could you think of what would take place if we flew terrorists posing as iraqi police to the U. S.? and then the backlash from congress and the wide-unfold public approximately legally permitting terrorists into the rustic? its a foul concept

Why don't we just hire the insurgents to train them. They seem to be holding their own without any formal training, but maybe that is just because they are more motivated and interested.
