i have a puppy that only bites me and not my parents what should i do?

when the puppy bites you grap it by the snout and curl it's lip under and press it against his sharp canine tooth. The puppy will yelp and realize this hurts. This will make him understand what bitting is when you make him bite himself. It usually solves the problem iin 5 or 6 times.

Hi, You dont say how old your puppy is (or what breed), as this can make a difference. I wondered if you had encouraged the puppy to play bite your hands when he was very small, as this would encourage him to continue, and get rougher as he grows. You need to teach him to bite/play with his special toys only. If he tries to bite do not reward him by moving your hands quickly as this just excites him more. Be calm, and firm and say NO like you mean it. Show him his toys and distract him from what he is doing wrong. You must be consistant with this. Older puppies can try and assert themselves. It doesnt bite your parents because as a pack animal your dog considers them to be the Alpha or top dogs. It considers you to be on the same level in the pack as it is so it feels it can bite you. The next time it does it grab it by the scruff of the neck and push its head to the floor. Shake it a little and in a gruff voice say NO. If it growls or tries to bite keep its head on the ground..do not let it up until it submits. that way it will learn that it is below you on the pack totem pole and you should have no more problems. Keep on doing this until it learns...it should only take a couple of times.

When she bites tell her NO in a firm voice and click her choke chain. Now, you don't have to be cruel to her with the choke chain just make it clink with sound.Most dogs don't care for the sound that close to their ear. When she stops praise her and give her a toy. Now when you say NO you are saying no to shame her not scare her.

Another thing I would do is have a couple of set play times with her a day where you teach her to fetch a ball or play with a frisbee. Some activity she can enjoy and run off energy.

My puppy nips me my finger, toes you name it he barks at me all the time he doesn't listen to me at all he listens to my partner though the vet say that the pup thinks that my partner is the leader of the pack and am just a friend to play with it does get really annoying after a while sometimes its sore too but we have been taking him to puppy training classes just hope that he grows out of the nipping everyone says they will cause all pups nip. when you say bite, is it a playful bite, part of teething, or is he mouthing you.

When he does this make a load noise and turn your back to him, after a while he will learn that biteing wont get him any attention. He is doing it to you either because he nos you and wants attention, or he is in charge of you in the pecking order.

You need to stop him now, because ask he gets older his teeth will get stronger and it really will hurt?
