which resoultion does the ps3 play in 1080i or 720p if u have both?

The new Sony PS3 will only output the High Definition resolution 720p. This is a problem for older High Definition sets that accept just 1080i and Sony claims a fix is in the works, but no timetable given on availability.


The Xbox 360 outputs both 720p and 1080i, Sony should have included both.
