you mis-interpret scripture....
not "better" .....just different.

We are better than the angels because God gave us free will, and God created the whole of the universe for us to use at our discretion. The angels have no choice in their worship of God. We, however, are given the gift of higher thinking, logic and, of course, free will.

Jesus elevates us. In actuality we are lower than the angels but, we think we are their superiors which is just bologny. This is one of the reasons Satan gets so mad that Jesus has elevated us to where the angels have to serve us and he will not serve us but, he is bound and determined that humans will serve him. Some people do, to their ultimate horror when they find out there is no reward from him but death and destruction.

I'm not sure better is the right word. Different and that because Jesus loves me best. OK u 2 but He gives us preferential treatment even if it is only to show His mercy.
