My sister has just gotten lice, but has been itching for awhile so it may have spread around the house. She sometimes sleeps with my parents so she is afraid she may have it. She broke out in tears because she has HUGE hair! what course of action should we take?

Need to go to local store and get lice medication usually it can be bought over the counter. Then boil all the articles you came in contact with in the house. They also have lice spray. When around anyone or think you come in contact with that has lice use a gel or hairspray on hair and the lice will stay away.

Definitely Call your doctor right away......the only product that really works once and for all is prescribed from your family physician. As for the rest of the house..Wow that is alot of work...throw out whatever you can ...what other linens or "stuffed" things you have that you do not want to rid yourself of put in plastic bags and leave them sit for a few weeks. Sad, I know, but it is nasty and if you do not handle the correct way the first time it will continuously return. Good luck

the best way is to shave your head, but realistically, go to a pharmesist and he/she cant point you to a good shampoo, then make sure you clean all hats and sheets and anything else your head would have touched
