I am talking about the 'weeping statues'. The catholic church itself proved it to be wrong, by X-rays they found out there were tiny holes that allowed the liquid to be put inside the statues, a liquid, according to them, very similar to the ones people can buy. I am only a truth seeker.

Because they are like Lemmings going over a cliff, in other words if I jumped off of a building would you do it too? Their answer would be yes.

Because not every weeping statue has been proven as a fake! Maybe a lot of Catholics have their doubts about exactly what a statue is crying but appreciate the comfort, experience of awe & wonder and strengthening of faith that it had brought to people when they are in need. Maybe they see the real miracle/purpose of these statues is to bring help and comfort to those who have needed it over the years and have gone to pray there when they're having a hard time in life. Proving they're fake now doesn't change the wonderful, life-changing experiences that have taken place in the past because people have believed a statue really weeps!

well that's when Faith blinds someone's judgment. every good virtue can be also be a downfall. it is not what they believe in that matters a lot, but what does it do to them.
a lot of things in the world that inspires people doesnt really exist. Santa Clause, Fairies, World Peace, eradication of Discrimination, etc etc.. but we still dare to believe them coz without it, life seems so worthless at all.
On the idols' case, it boosts their faith. that's when Science explains that the brain can actually cure some of the illnesses you think you have by simply thinking positive. that alone is not a bad thing for me

B/c people believe what they want to believe. If you are that weak minded, a fake "weeping" statue just might tear apart your entire life.

The True Christian Faith is not based on any statue, crying or not.
True Christian Faith is based on fact. The Truth of God's promise to the individual confermed at the instant of Salvation...The True Faith is based on The Truth of God Himself. Not on any work of man.

Religion is the ultimate con, it is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. No wonder so many people jump on this manured money wagon.

Some people confuse faith with superstition. Our faith cannot be based on images. If we find out that a certain image is contrived, that shouldn't weaken our faith in God. As it says in Habakkuk," The just shall live by faith."

because people, in general, are stupid.

instead of looking for miracles in the world, concentrate on the miracle that is within you.
